Alex & Stephanie’s Wedding
Congratulations to Alex and Stephanie, who tied the knot this weekend.
The ceremony was held outside in the glorious sunshine surrounded by family and friends, trees and bluebells in the centre of Ambleside in the Lake District!
Stephanie looked beautiful as she walked down an aisle lined by her guests in the middle of the park, then the wedding party stood under the trees whilst we were told Alex and Steph’s love story followed by a reading ‘I carry your heart’ by EE Cummings, their vows, and a handfasting ritual where the hands are tied together with ribbons! (which is where the phrase ‘Tying the knot’ comes from!)
With the wedding ceremony being on the grass us ladies were pre-warned to being some flats! Here I am in my spotty Coast dress, carrying my shoes and wearing Havaiana’s !!
We all went on to drink champagne (obvs!) stuff our faces full of food, and have a little dance! There was a Ceilidh band and a caller so there was some folky line dancing (another use for those flip flops!!) Was so much fun 🙂
Alex and Steph, Here’s to you! Thank you for having us at your special day! I wish you many happy times together.
