Autumn’s Coming …

Chole's Fall-Winter 10/11 CampaignQ. Who’s excited about AW10?   A. Me, me, me !

It’s always really refreshing this time of year when we see a mass of newness in the shops, quite frankly, after the summer sales and my recent beach break, im glad to see the back of summer ensembles (though I don’t want the sun to go away just yet!).

All the fashion publications have been showing next seasons trends and collections and it all looks very exciting. Actually, maybe exciting isn’t quite the word, as key shapes are not overly exciting, there doesn’t seem to be any eclectic mixes, any eccentrics or outrageous gravity defying creations, the trends are more clean and classic.

Still, I think its exciting!  Who wouldn’t get excited about a nice flattering cut, leg lengthening pair of trousers or a classic Mulberry ‘Forever’ bag.  ‘Forever’ being that it will last you a life time. On-trend and thrifty!  Clever!

So for AW10 start thinking about shirts tucked in trousers, camel over coats, leopard prints, cinching waist belts, classic bags and shoes you can dress up or down from Jimmy Choo’s 24:7 collection.  No big shoulder pads or scary towering platforms here ladies!  One of the images from Chloe’s AW10 ad campaign (right) is a perfect example of our clean classic autumn. As for the high street this autumn, I guarantee Zara will be the place to find your perfect trousers, they do trousers very well.

Next week… AW10 ‘IT’ bags.

Yey! :0)
